Smiling Avril Lavigne celebrates her 30th birthday in Vegas without husband Chad Kroeger… amid rumours marriage is on the rocks

It was reported earlier this month that they are heading for divorce after just 14 months of marriage. And on Avril Lavigne’s milestone 30th birthday on Saturday, Nickelback rocker Chad Kroeger was notably missing from his wife’s celebrations at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

The petite pop star partied instead with a couple of girlfriends and looked gorgeous in a pink strapless number as she was presented with a giant cupcake birthday cake. The blonde Complicated singer looked cheerful surrounded by her sister-in-law Amie Lavigne and best friend Caryn Alpert at the Hotel’s Bank nightclub.

She wore her long blonde locks in glamorous waves and wore her signature thick black eyeliner and lashings of mascara. Her figure-hugging frock stopped just above her knees and featured a pretty gathering of fabric on her left hip which accentuated her tiny waist.

She donned classic nude pumps and accessorised with a wrist of pearl and diamond bracelets. The pint-sized popstrel appeared to have replaced her engagement and wedding ring with a pearl solitaire.

Also missing was the huge 17 carat emerald-cut sparkler that Chad presented her with on their one year wedding anniversary in July. It was reported by Us Weekly several weeks ago that the couple were headed for a split after a source revealed Chad was going around LA telling people they are divorcing.

And on August 30, the pop-punk diva wasn’t wearing her wedding ring as she left the Chateau Marmont with gal pals. In July the star gushed over her 39-year-old beau on Twitter after receiving the diamond anniversary gift but mysteriously deleted her tweet thereafter.

The rocking couple – who have a combined net worth of $105 million – are now mostly missing from each other’s Twitter and Instagram feeds.

Chad is just a complete jerk in the way he talks to her, and the way he talks to people in general,’ a Lavigne pal told the mag. ‘A lot of her friends don’t like him.’

Avril has had a rough year as her ex husband Deryck Whibley nearly died from his alcohol addiction. They were married for four years between 2006 and 2010.

Anthony Vaccarello Announces Wardrobe Malfunctions Are in for Spring

It’s time to start stocking up on some socially acceptable underwear (goodbye, granny panties! RIP, Harry Potter booty shorts!), because, if Anthony Vaccarello’s latest runway is any indication, you’re going to be showing them off come spring.

Vaccarello didn’t just take high slits to the next level—been there, done that, Anja Rubik’s hip bone has the Google image search to prove it—he also showed undie-bearing cutouts and hemlines so short, they’re welcoming a wardrobe malfunction with open, er, arms.

Though the looks are a fresh take on the ubiquitous high-slit trend of the season—it’s more of a high slash than a slit—they do pose a bit of an undergarment conundrum. Do you forgo undies if you’re wearing a skirt with a keyhole to the right of your crotch (how do you even characterize that part of the body? The over-thigh? The under-hip?)?

That seems like a scandal in the making. Do you wear flesh-tone underwear? Or go the opposite route and wear neon panties like the festival-goer trend of sporting neon bralettes under revealing tank tops? So many questions.

The only thing we do know: If you’re wearing Anthony Vaccarello, let someone else take that empty seat on the New York City subway.

Decked Out: Singer Alexa Ray Joel’s Old Hollywood-Meets-Bohemian Glamour

The 28-year-old jazz-cabaret vocalist — and daughter of Billy and Christie Brinkley — gives a peek into her eclectic Soho home and shares her collection of vintage kimonos and robes.

“I tend to feel naked without jewelry,” jokes Joel, who for four years has resided in a two-bedroom apartment in a sunlight-filled Soho building in New York. “My boyfriend [restaurateur Ryan Gleason] makes fun of me because we’ll just be watching a movie at home and I’ll need to add earrings.”

Whether it’s her closet or her home decor, Joel says her taste is “a medley of vintage meets bohemian meets old Hollywood with a little edge.” It’s a fitting match for Manhattan’s historic Cafe Carlyle, where she performed for several weeks this year, and will be returning for a six-month residency in 2015.

“Every show I’ve done there has been jam-packed, sold out,” she says of her past run, which featured a combination of cabaret, reworked jazz covers and her own original music. “[The Carlyle] is a prestigious venue, and it’s rare that you’re asked back. Eartha Kitt played there, all these jazz greats.”

Joel hopes that soon, with a commercial under her belt for Gap (she reworked her father’s 1977 hit, “Just the Way You Are,” for the “Back to Blue” campaign) and the success of her live performances, she’ll reach a wider audience.

And while her sound — “Fiona Apple meets Rufus Wainwright,” she  says — is not her father’s, Joel still looks to the musical great for guidance. “You don’t have to stick with one niche. Musically, that’s something I learned from him.” Maybe, this time father knows best.

Baby Tunes: “I wrote a song called ‘Verona’ about these dreams I’ve had of my future daughter. My father did that for me [with ‘Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)’], so it’s passing on the tradition.”

Good Luck Charm: “My mother did this [drawing]. My father isn’t a religious man, but he’s very superstitious. He collected these rosaries of St. Christopher.”

Inherited Style: “My favorite pieces are hand-me-downs from my mother,” says Joel, photographed by Douglas Friedman on Sept. 11 at her New York home. “She has given me a lot of vintage Ralph Lauren and Dolce [& Gabbana].”

Wedding Dress for an 8pm Wedding

Evening weddings are the most elegant type. Whether you are the bride, the groom, or a guest, you will want to look your sharpest for the occasion. This is what you need to know to select appropriate wedding dress for an 8pm wedding.

A wedding that starts at 8pm is almost always going to be formal. At the minimum black tie (or the ambiguous “black tie optional”), or if it is a winter wedding, it may even be white tie, which is the most formal wedding of all. It is up to the bride and groom to determine how formal they want their wedding to be and then to let their guests know with a notation on the invitation stating either “Black tie” or “White tie”. If you are having a city chic cocktail wedding which has a late start, you could use a notation such as “Cocktail attire” to give your guests an idea of what to expect and how to dress.

If the 8pm wedding is black tie, the gentlemen all wear tuxedos. For those who want a more modern take on black tie attire, a straight tie can be worn instead of the traditional bow tie. Around the holidays, it would also be appropriate for the male guests (or the groom, for that matter) to wear a bow tie in a tartan rather than the standard black bow tie. The rest of the tuxedo would remain the same as usual.

The bride at a black tie wedding should wear a very fancy wedding gown and lots of sparkling accessories. This would be an appropriate type of wedding for a heavily embellished silk satin gown with a full ballskirt and a long train. There is very little which would be too ornate for such a wedding. She will want to fully accessorize her bridal gown with a crystal tiara, and a breathtaking set of Swarovski crystal bridal jewelry including a necklace, earrings, and bracelets.

Dressing for an 8pm wedding is actually the most challenging for the wedding guests. The attire for the bride and groom is a little more clear; for the female wedding guests, there is such a range of choices that picking the right attire can be bewildering. Hopefully, the invitation gave you a clue as to what type of attire is expected, but if not, you have to take your cue from the late hour of the affair and assume that it is formal. When in doubt, there is no shame in asking the bride or her mother if the wedding will be black tie, white tie, or what have you. Here is a tip: if the invitation or your hosts say that the wedding is black tie optional or black tie requested, wear black tie. It will always look the best for the occasion.

For the female wedding guests, long dresses or very dressy cocktail dresses are appropriate for an 8pm wedding, as long as it is not white tie. If you opt for a short cocktail dress over a floor length gown, it needs to be very fancy, ie, a dressy fabric, special embellishments, the works. One thing to avoid is a cocktail dress which is too sexy. That hot little number which was perfect for New Year’s Eve may be inappropriate for a wedding guest; remember that you never want to draw attention away from the bride! When the wedding is white tie, the female guests must wear floor length gowns, and long gloves are also expected.

One you have found a beautiful fancy dress to wear to the 8pm wedding, it is time to add the accessories which will make your outfit spectacular. A wedding guest would certainly not wear a tiara, but a sprinkling of hairpins or a jeweled clip in your hair would be a gorgeous detail. This is also your chance to wear lots of sparkly jewelry, such as a fabulous pair of chandelier earrings and a few Swarovski crystal bracelets. In the winter months, feel free to layer on a luxe fur stole (real or faux, your choice). Before you know it, you will find yourself ready to go and shine at the 8pm wedding.  Get more info:https://www.bridesdressau.com/mermaid-wedding-dresses
