She’s still got it! Jerry Hall, 59, oozes glamour in a stunning strapless leopard print gown at the Steiger Award Ceremony

She’s less than a year off 60, but Jerry Hall can still give the best of them a run for their money when it comes to raising the glamour stakes.

Appearing at the Steiger Award Ceremony in Hattingen, Germany, on Friday, the life-long beauty showed off her enviably svelte figure in a form-fitting leopard-print gown.

While the sweeping floor-length hem meant that her lengthy pins weren’t on display, the strapless design gave Jerry the perfect chance to exhibit her lean shoulders and age-defying décolletage.

The mother-of-four wore her trademark platinum locks long and loose, letting the gentle waves cascade down her back. When it came to her make-up, she kept it simple, using just a touch of foundation and mascara, coupled with an eye-catching red lip.

Working the red carpet, she posed with a variety of stars, including former adult actress Dolly Buster, and Buzz Aldrin – the second person to walk on the moon.

Jerry’s looks have always had the men chasing after her, including her ex-husband and partner-of-21-years, Mick Jagger. It’s been 16 years since they split, but on Thursday she opened up to the Daily Mail about their enduring friendship.

Only the other week they had lunch together to celebrate their eldest son James’s 29th birthday with his two sisters Elizabeth, 30, and Georgia May and younger 16-year-old brother Gabriel.

Actually, we really like each other,’ she said. ‘We’ve always been friends. Aside from being married for 20 years and having four children we always had a good laugh. We have friends in common and we get on really well. He’s very bright and funny and he’s actually a great friend.’

Their marriage crumbled when she discovered Brazilian model Luciana Morad was carrying his baby.

But now happily dating distinguished scientist Professor Armand Leroi, she insists it’s all water under the bridge.

She said: ‘That was such a long time ago now – 16 years. I can’t even remember the bad times now. You move on. Mick and I had many, many, many happy times. We had years and years of lots of fun. Things sometimes just don’t last forever, do they? People change.’

The long and short of it: Kristin Cavallari debuts her new cropped hairdo after lopping off her famous tumbling tresses

Kristin Cavallari emerged from the hair salon in Beverly Hills on Thursday with a beaming smile on her face as she debuted her new shoulder-length hairdo.

Having taken to Instagram earlier in the day to reveal she had taken the plunge and lopped off her famous long blonde locks, she gave the first glimpse of her stylish new look as she worked her cropped ‘do like a pro.

Positively strutting down the street, she ran her hand through her mane and gave it a flirty flick for the cameras, clearly thrilled with the end result after making such a dramatic change to her signature look.

‘This is happening right now. Just chopped off my hair!’ she captioned a snap of her long ponytail draped on the floor after her stylist had taken his scissors to it.

With a new season upon us, the mom-of-two is among plenty of stars who are taking the chop for autumn.

Nicki Minaj and Emma Stone recently showed off their sexy makeovers, while Kaley Cuoco was one of those leading the pack, having lopped off her locks several months ago.

Kristin’s new look certainly appeared to put a renewed spring in her step, the Chinese Laundry shoe designer practically floating on air as she headed back to her car.

The star was looking as fashionable as ever for her trip to celebrity hairdresser Chris McMillan’s salon, showing off her long, lean legs in a short white snakeskin skirt and midnight blue suede ankle boots with contrasting dark green detail on the ankles.

She kept covered up on her top half, wearing a cropped ink blue knit with oversized sleeves, featuring exposed silver zippers on the elbows that were undone for maximum effect.

She carried a large black leather designer handbag that pulled her look together perfectly. The 27-year-old’s make-up was nicely applied, with a complementary bronze base, heavily kohl-rimmed eyes and nude lips.

Her bouncy locks were styled in loose curls that were caught by the wind as she walked, creating a gorgeous tousled effect.

While the mom-of-two is based in Chicago, where husband Jay Cutler is the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, she jets back to her native California whenever she can.

Though she often takes her children with her, neither two-year-old Camden or almost five-month-old Jaxon were present for this particular outing.

Smiling Avril Lavigne celebrates her 30th birthday in Vegas without husband Chad Kroeger… amid rumours marriage is on the rocks

It was reported earlier this month that they are heading for divorce after just 14 months of marriage. And on Avril Lavigne’s milestone 30th birthday on Saturday, Nickelback rocker Chad Kroeger was notably missing from his wife’s celebrations at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.

The petite pop star partied instead with a couple of girlfriends and looked gorgeous in a pink strapless number as she was presented with a giant cupcake birthday cake. The blonde Complicated singer looked cheerful surrounded by her sister-in-law Amie Lavigne and best friend Caryn Alpert at the Hotel’s Bank nightclub.

She wore her long blonde locks in glamorous waves and wore her signature thick black eyeliner and lashings of mascara. Her figure-hugging frock stopped just above her knees and featured a pretty gathering of fabric on her left hip which accentuated her tiny waist.

She donned classic nude pumps and accessorised with a wrist of pearl and diamond bracelets. The pint-sized popstrel appeared to have replaced her engagement and wedding ring with a pearl solitaire.

Also missing was the huge 17 carat emerald-cut sparkler that Chad presented her with on their one year wedding anniversary in July. It was reported by Us Weekly several weeks ago that the couple were headed for a split after a source revealed Chad was going around LA telling people they are divorcing.

And on August 30, the pop-punk diva wasn’t wearing her wedding ring as she left the Chateau Marmont with gal pals. In July the star gushed over her 39-year-old beau on Twitter after receiving the diamond anniversary gift but mysteriously deleted her tweet thereafter.

The rocking couple – who have a combined net worth of $105 million – are now mostly missing from each other’s Twitter and Instagram feeds.

Chad is just a complete jerk in the way he talks to her, and the way he talks to people in general,’ a Lavigne pal told the mag. ‘A lot of her friends don’t like him.’

Avril has had a rough year as her ex husband Deryck Whibley nearly died from his alcohol addiction. They were married for four years between 2006 and 2010.

Anthony Vaccarello Announces Wardrobe Malfunctions Are in for Spring

It’s time to start stocking up on some socially acceptable underwear (goodbye, granny panties! RIP, Harry Potter booty shorts!), because, if Anthony Vaccarello’s latest runway is any indication, you’re going to be showing them off come spring.

Vaccarello didn’t just take high slits to the next level—been there, done that, Anja Rubik’s hip bone has the Google image search to prove it—he also showed undie-bearing cutouts and hemlines so short, they’re welcoming a wardrobe malfunction with open, er, arms.

Though the looks are a fresh take on the ubiquitous high-slit trend of the season—it’s more of a high slash than a slit—they do pose a bit of an undergarment conundrum. Do you forgo undies if you’re wearing a skirt with a keyhole to the right of your crotch (how do you even characterize that part of the body? The over-thigh? The under-hip?)?

That seems like a scandal in the making. Do you wear flesh-tone underwear? Or go the opposite route and wear neon panties like the festival-goer trend of sporting neon bralettes under revealing tank tops? So many questions.

The only thing we do know: If you’re wearing Anthony Vaccarello, let someone else take that empty seat on the New York City subway.

Decked Out: Singer Alexa Ray Joel’s Old Hollywood-Meets-Bohemian Glamour

The 28-year-old jazz-cabaret vocalist — and daughter of Billy and Christie Brinkley — gives a peek into her eclectic Soho home and shares her collection of vintage kimonos and robes.

“I tend to feel naked without jewelry,” jokes Joel, who for four years has resided in a two-bedroom apartment in a sunlight-filled Soho building in New York. “My boyfriend [restaurateur Ryan Gleason] makes fun of me because we’ll just be watching a movie at home and I’ll need to add earrings.”

Whether it’s her closet or her home decor, Joel says her taste is “a medley of vintage meets bohemian meets old Hollywood with a little edge.” It’s a fitting match for Manhattan’s historic Cafe Carlyle, where she performed for several weeks this year, and will be returning for a six-month residency in 2015.

“Every show I’ve done there has been jam-packed, sold out,” she says of her past run, which featured a combination of cabaret, reworked jazz covers and her own original music. “[The Carlyle] is a prestigious venue, and it’s rare that you’re asked back. Eartha Kitt played there, all these jazz greats.”

Joel hopes that soon, with a commercial under her belt for Gap (she reworked her father’s 1977 hit, “Just the Way You Are,” for the “Back to Blue” campaign) and the success of her live performances, she’ll reach a wider audience.

And while her sound — “Fiona Apple meets Rufus Wainwright,” she  says — is not her father’s, Joel still looks to the musical great for guidance. “You don’t have to stick with one niche. Musically, that’s something I learned from him.” Maybe, this time father knows best.

Baby Tunes: “I wrote a song called ‘Verona’ about these dreams I’ve had of my future daughter. My father did that for me [with ‘Lullabye (Goodnight, My Angel)’], so it’s passing on the tradition.”

Good Luck Charm: “My mother did this [drawing]. My father isn’t a religious man, but he’s very superstitious. He collected these rosaries of St. Christopher.”

Inherited Style: “My favorite pieces are hand-me-downs from my mother,” says Joel, photographed by Douglas Friedman on Sept. 11 at her New York home. “She has given me a lot of vintage Ralph Lauren and Dolce [& Gabbana].”

Wedding Dress for an 8pm Wedding

Evening weddings are the most elegant type. Whether you are the bride, the groom, or a guest, you will want to look your sharpest for the occasion. This is what you need to know to select appropriate wedding dress for an 8pm wedding.

A wedding that starts at 8pm is almost always going to be formal. At the minimum black tie (or the ambiguous “black tie optional”), or if it is a winter wedding, it may even be white tie, which is the most formal wedding of all. It is up to the bride and groom to determine how formal they want their wedding to be and then to let their guests know with a notation on the invitation stating either “Black tie” or “White tie”. If you are having a city chic cocktail wedding which has a late start, you could use a notation such as “Cocktail attire” to give your guests an idea of what to expect and how to dress.

If the 8pm wedding is black tie, the gentlemen all wear tuxedos. For those who want a more modern take on black tie attire, a straight tie can be worn instead of the traditional bow tie. Around the holidays, it would also be appropriate for the male guests (or the groom, for that matter) to wear a bow tie in a tartan rather than the standard black bow tie. The rest of the tuxedo would remain the same as usual.

The bride at a black tie wedding should wear a very fancy wedding gown and lots of sparkling accessories. This would be an appropriate type of wedding for a heavily embellished silk satin gown with a full ballskirt and a long train. There is very little which would be too ornate for such a wedding. She will want to fully accessorize her bridal gown with a crystal tiara, and a breathtaking set of Swarovski crystal bridal jewelry including a necklace, earrings, and bracelets.

Dressing for an 8pm wedding is actually the most challenging for the wedding guests. The attire for the bride and groom is a little more clear; for the female wedding guests, there is such a range of choices that picking the right attire can be bewildering. Hopefully, the invitation gave you a clue as to what type of attire is expected, but if not, you have to take your cue from the late hour of the affair and assume that it is formal. When in doubt, there is no shame in asking the bride or her mother if the wedding will be black tie, white tie, or what have you. Here is a tip: if the invitation or your hosts say that the wedding is black tie optional or black tie requested, wear black tie. It will always look the best for the occasion.

For the female wedding guests, long dresses or very dressy cocktail dresses are appropriate for an 8pm wedding, as long as it is not white tie. If you opt for a short cocktail dress over a floor length gown, it needs to be very fancy, ie, a dressy fabric, special embellishments, the works. One thing to avoid is a cocktail dress which is too sexy. That hot little number which was perfect for New Year’s Eve may be inappropriate for a wedding guest; remember that you never want to draw attention away from the bride! When the wedding is white tie, the female guests must wear floor length gowns, and long gloves are also expected.

One you have found a beautiful fancy dress to wear to the 8pm wedding, it is time to add the accessories which will make your outfit spectacular. A wedding guest would certainly not wear a tiara, but a sprinkling of hairpins or a jeweled clip in your hair would be a gorgeous detail. This is also your chance to wear lots of sparkly jewelry, such as a fabulous pair of chandelier earrings and a few Swarovski crystal bracelets. In the winter months, feel free to layer on a luxe fur stole (real or faux, your choice). Before you know it, you will find yourself ready to go and shine at the 8pm wedding.  Get more info:https://www.bridesdressau.com/mermaid-wedding-dresses

Well Dress for a Scottish Wedding

Whether you are celebrating your heritage or helping with a wedding that requires a flair for the dramatic, knowing how to dress for a Scottish wedding is imperative for those wanting to pull off the look for their big day. From the men’s highland dress to horseshoes and more, there is a wide variety of elements that you can work into a Scottish wedding.

1. Know what attire to wear for the Scottish groom and groomsmen.

Go for the wedding kilt with the tartan (fabric pattern) of your choice. Purple ones are common for weddings, and you can have your choice of district, clan, Cornish, Welsh or Irish tartans.

Know the difference in the types of tartans. Ancient tartans are soft and/or lighter colors. Modern tartans tend to be darker colors and are more plain in design. Hunting tartans tend to have a lot of green in them. Dress tartans have a lot of white through them, and weathered tartans, which are also referred to as muted, are a faded or washed out version of any of the previously noted tartans.

You can choose to dress your groomsmen exactly the same, but you might choose a different kilt style or tartan for yourself to stand out from the group.

If you cannot find your clan tartan, you can choose a district tartan that both compliments your skin tone and hair color and/or will photograph nicely.

Most men pair their kilts with a Prince Charlie jacket and vest. Black is a popular color, but you might also consider going with a major color from your kilt.

Accessories for the kilt can include the sporran, the sgian dubh, your kilt pin, and/or your buckle.

2. Learn about traditional dress for brides and bridesmaids in Scotland.

While there is no set rules for your wedding dress, try and dress to the context of your venue location. Don’t, for example, choose an over-the-top, flowing gown for a ceremony site that is understated and modern. On the other hand, you probably won’t go with a chic, contemporary dress in a castle that is hundreds of years old either.

Scottish custom is moving away from the bride paying for identical dresses for her bridesmaids to the bridesmaids each covering her own costs.

A Scottish wedding horseshoe charm is the perfect token of good luck for a bride to wear or carry.

3. Find out how to dress the bride’s mother or groom’s mother.

Make sure that the mother of the bride’s dress, and mother of the groom’s dress for that matter, too, compliment the bride’s choice of ensemble. It should not compete or clash with her dress or each other’s.

Mothers of the bride and groom can also consider this an occasion to don a hat as well. Make sure that the milliner provides advice as far as color, style and what will fit your face style.

4
Know that the father of the bride and father of the groom should consider wearing the kilt with a tartan as dictated by the family. Check:www.bridesdressau.com/mermaid-wedding-dresses

Tips for Choosing a Wedding dress

If you have a smaller budget, it may be helpful to you not to try on dresses you know you can’t afford. If you really fall in love with one, you’ll be sad you can’t buy it, and you may actually never be satisfied with a lesser priced gown after finding what you feel is “The Dress” in a price range a couple thousand dollars higher than what you can afford. Don’t risk it!

Before you buy your dress, find someone who can alter it for you so you’re not locked into the place where you bought it. This can save you money. If you buy a dress that is bigger than your present size, they will have plenty to work with.

This allows you to buy a dress that you find that is at a good price or is just the one you’ve dreamed of without worrying about it being gone later.
You don’t need a $5,000 dress to feel like royalty on your special day. Contrary to what some people may believe, chains like BridesDressAU.com have gowns of excellent quality, and they have lines from their own designers. And their price is inexpensive. A night to remember

There are always days you can never forget: the day of your wedding, the day you graduate and of course, the Prom.
For a girl, the Prom is the night she stops being a little girl and gets to show the world her true beauty. It kind of reminds me of the Cinderella`s Story, when, a beautiful dress and the perfect shoes, magically transforms her in a real princess.

Ziua absolvirii e unul dintre acele evenimente care marcheaza istoria noastra personala. Iar balul de absolvire, ma face sa ma gandesc la povestea Cenusaresei, cand o frumoasa rochie si pantofii perfecti, te pot  transforma intr-o adevarata printesa.

But the question is, can you dress like a princess, without spending money like one? We`ll talk about this soon, but first, lets see what dress will make you feel unique?
Dreaming of becoming the Prom Queen? It is said go big or go home! If it`s queen you want, then you should wear a queen-like dress. Your inspiration should be the empire dress, fitted for the Queen of France herself!

Do you remember the dresses worn by Charlize Theron as the evil queen from “SnowWhite and the Huntsman”? I tell you, the mirror was lying: she was truly the “most beauty of them all” Is there a sexy side of you? This dress will make you unforgettable!

Va amintiti rochiile purtate de Charlize Theron in filmul “SnowWhite and the Hutsman?” Oglinda trebuie sa fi fost nebuna sa declare pe altcineva “cea mai frumoasa din tara”:

Are you a Clasic Beauty? This is the kind of dress Lady Di would have worn:

Daca preferi stilul de frumusete clasica, atunci aceasta rochie ti se potriveste. E genul de rochie pe care printesa Diana ar fi purtat:

Are you the sweetest thing on earth? Did you know a dress can really show your inner beauty? This dress reminds me of the Swan Princess:

And the editor`s choice (that would be me 🙂 is this gorgeous dress, that reminds me of the asian princesses:

Dance the Night Away

The other night, on my birthday to be exact, we celebrated the wedding of our good friends Tyler and Hannah. It was so exciting to see two lovely people join their lives and Ben was privileged to officiate the ceremony. After the ceremony, there was dancing at the reception that was so much fun! My children showed me that they were born with rhythm that their mom sure doesn’t possess!

I got to thinking about the future and how not too many years from now my little ones will be high-schoolers and attending their prom. (sniff, sniff) It’s always fun looking at beautiful dresses, and I found some beautiful- yet budget friendly  prom dresses. They are both stunning and priced really well. I don’t think they cost much more than my prom dress a few years ago! I love the dresses that are classically beautiful and modest. Jen Jen House did not disappoint! Each dress is hand tailored- and they have other dresses such as bridesmaid and wedding dresses as well!

I actually ordered a bridesmaid’s dress from this website in 2012 and couldn’t believe how fast I got it! From order to tailoring to delivery was not much more than a week, and the dress was very good quality.

The beading on this dress is exquisite and the back is just gorgeous. You’ll have to click here to see it. 🙂 The purple reminds me of my cousin Tasha- purple has always been her favorite color and I know she’s look fabulous in this dress!

The moral of this post is- I love fancy dresses and my mind is trying to find occasion to wear a beautiful dress like this! Anyone want to go on a cruise? Read here
